If you ever choke in front of me, don't expect me to do anything.

When people sneeze your supposed to say "bless you" or something along those lines.  What about when people cough?  Are you supposed to sit there after they cough and just not say anything? I feel rude when that happens. So, sometimes I say "bless you" to people after they cough just so I don't feel as awkward.  For some reason, people always give me this hurt look when I say that (as if I've told them they have cancer) and they say "but I didn't sneeze" and I say "I know" and then they just think I'm really weird.  I think there should be a phrase you say after someone coughs.

However, when I cough, people will ask "are you ok?"  I feel like maybe I should say that to other people when they cough, but I'm afraid they'd tell me "no."  What would I do then?  I mean, how the hell should I know what to do if someone is coughing bad.  I don't know how to do the Heimlich. The most I can say is "uh... want a glass of water?" and then I'll feel useless and stupid.

Someone should come up with a good phrase I can say to people when they cough.  I mean, there has to be at least 3 people reading this, I'm sure one of you can think of something.
